Industry Specific ComplianceThe Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) on March 18, 2026, issued the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Electricity Supply Code and Connected Matters) (Third Amendment), Regulations, 2026, to further amend the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Electricity supply code and connected matters) Regulations, 2021.

The following has been stated namely: -

• These Regulations shall apply to distribution licensees including deemed licensees and consumers in the State.

• A new sub-Regulation 6.14 has been inserted namely: -

“Dual Source Supply to HT/EHT Consumers: - Supply of electricity may be provided to applicants requiring HT/EHT supply from two sources with simultaneous use /or standby source, subject to technical feasibility and compliance with Safety Regulations. In such case, consumers will be at liberty to use contracted demand either of the source from zero to contracted demand. In such case, applicant shall deposit all expenses towards extension of electric line or electric plant for both sources in addition to charges as prescribed in the schedule of charges(Schedule-I).”

This shall come into force on March 18, 2026.
